Fairy Tale for School: Adam wanted me to post it
In a small village called Greenville, a beautiful woman lived in a nice cottage near the edge of the town. She was very popular amongst the village people, but was very greedy.
Beyond this village, there was a massive forest, that was very dark and no one dared venture into this forest. Many wondered what was inside this forest.
One day, this beautiful woman was walking through the market, and when she saw a man speaking about the forest, being a curious person, she stopped to listen to him, though she had never met him. The man spoke of great riches being hidden in the forest. The woman, being greedy, listened closely to hear about riches. The man finally closed off his talk about the forest, and the woman went home. On the way home, she ran into her friend, who was also listening to the man talking.
“So,” said the woman, “what did you think about that speech?”
“I don’t believe him,” said her friend, “In fact, I totally disagree.”
“What do you mean?” “I heard plenty of people go in, and find nothing…their problem is getting out.”
“Interesting…well I guess I’ll see you later on.”
The woman came home, and no matter how hard she tried, she could not get her thoughts off the riches that could potentially await her in the forest. The next day, she decided to trust a total stranger and go into the woods despite what her friend said. Her greediness led her into going into the forest.
So, she journeyed forth through the forest. Every once in a while, she would encounter an obstacle that she would think was impossible. She would think, “I should turn back, this is dangerous.” But then she would think of the potential riches that could potentially await her. Again, she would come up to an obstacle and think, “No, I must turn back.” But she would continue. This happened a numerous amount of times, but she continued. Finally, she reached an opening in the forest, where there was a large mansion. She went up to knock on the door, and an elderly woman opened the door.
“Excuse me, ma’m, but I’m wondering if I can have my riches.”
The elder, who was actually a witch, said, “You evil child! Your greed has led you here for nothing but the sole sake of riches! You shall be my slave because of your greediness!”
The witch took up the woman and locked her away forever. My story is over. If you can learn a few lessons from this woman, it is these: Trust your instinct, like the woman should have when she thought about turning around in the forest, trust your friends, not total strangers, and don’t be greedy to point of doing insane things.

If anyone wants to check out my blog, its http://stephylalluvia.blogspot.com/

And from now on I will be better about updating it. Right now my track record is 2 posts every 4 months, but I'll definitely write more often now.

Talk to you all soon!

20th in the state?!

20th in the state! I had no idea! We must be pretty good, but I wouldn't know because I have NO school spirit. Haha. High school is actually pretty fun, I was really over-afraid. My teachers are all pretty great and the day feels so much faster than Jr. High.

-Adam Newton

P.S. - I will send the pictures within the week.

Weekend

The weekend was great. I visited the lake house with my mom's side of the family. We had issues starting a fire without the help of my dad (he was in bed.) But all in all it was a relaxing weekend. I drew this picture with some charcoal pencils, what do you think?

P.S. - Does anyone miss the beach as much as I do?

Anyone going to Kiawah and renting bikes in the near future be sure to use Alligator Bike. Much cheaper than the Resort Bike rental service. Dew, he will give pretty good discount for volume rentals (ie Thanksgiving) and additional discount for cash payment.

Hello Family!

Great idea, this will be lot's of fun. I would say we are 'back to school' but since we live in a year round school district we are never back to school (or always back to school). The picture is Maeve and Patrick with a pro golfer who visited us. His name is Cameron Percy, hopefully he will be on the PGA Tour someday.

We hope everyone is doing well, give us a call when you are in Raleigh!

South Carolina

Hey Newtons,
Michael (younger) here. Not much news from SC. We're going to Kiawah tommorrow, even though I have a fever. Hopefully I get better before then. ...:(. School started. Its good. Our first home football game is tonight, so we will be 2-0 tommorrow, but I can't go to the game. Got to do a lot of fun traveling this summer, saw Adam and Sam and Uncle Matt and Aunt Rebecca and Roy earlier in the summer, then went to Chicago for the Cubs game and saw Roy. Then wen to Kansas City for the lake. That was really fun. I can't wait for Thanksgiving! Great housing arrangements!

Adam,
Great job on the blog. This is going to be fun. Love the password, most of my passwords-about 12 of them involve kiawah in some form or fashion and two fo them involve using amaranth as the key word with various numbers like 404. Below is my schedule for the day:
Make MAN's breakfast
Iron his school uniform
Do the dishes
Laundry
Spin class at 1215
P/U car pool at 115pm

and oh yeah-work for Delta Airlines.
Ya, all have a great day.

Great Job on the Blog Spot Adam. Should be fun!

Hello

Hello fellow family-
It's Tim. Not much is happening over here. We all just brought Val to Holy Cross, where she just transferred to, and there was free cookies and lemonade. Yay!
I am also not looking forward to having school start. I'm going into Eighth Grade, and everyone is asking me if I'm excited. I am not excited.
Good to talk-
Tim
